Emergency Contraception
Call 1-800-804-8868 for information.
Emergency contraceptives are ways of avoiding a pregnancy after unprotected sex. Emergency Contraception has also been termed "morning after contraception," "The Morning after Pill," or "the day after pill." These terms can be misleading because Emergency Contraception may be used before the morning after or up to several days after.
Emergency Contraception does not protect one from sexually transmitted infections or venereal disease.
Emergency Contraception can be used if a condom breaks, after a sexual assault, or any time unprotected sexual intercourse occurs.
There have been many forms of Emergency Contraception. Please call your health care provider to find out what the best plan would be for you. There are many offices listed on this site that will happily answer any questions you may have about Emergency Contraception.
